Lifted Toyota Tundra: Your Options

A lift gives a Tundra more ground clearance, room for bigger tires and a taller stance. Toyota now offers its own 3-inch TRD lift, and our parts department can fit it or help you choose. Here is what to know before you raise a truck.

Quick answer

The cleanest way to a lifted Tundra is Toyota's own hardware: for 2026 the TRD 3-inch Lift Kit is offered with the Tow Tech Package on the Tundra TRD Rally Package, engineered for the truck's suspension, electronics and the tow rating. Genuine TRD accessories installed by a Toyota dealer are covered by Toyota's accessory warranty. Aftermarket lifts range from a leveling kit to several inches of suspension lift; they change handling, speedometer accuracy and towing behavior, and any damage they cause is not covered by the new vehicle warranty.

Toyota's TRD lift

For the 2026 model year Toyota added a TRD 3-inch Lift Kit and Tow Tech Package to the Tundra TRD Rally Package. Because it is a Toyota part, it is designed around the truck's geometry, the stability control calibration and the standard tow hitch and 7/4-pin connector now fitted to every Tundra. If you want a lifted truck with a factory feel and factory support, that is the one to ask about. Contact our parts department about availability for your Tundra.

Toyota's TRD 3-inch lift kit is offered on the 2026 Tundra TRD Rally Package. Larger tires, a leveling kit or an aftermarket lift change ride height, handling and the speedometer reading, so talk to our parts team before you buy.

Lift types compared

OptionHeightWhat it doesThings to weigh
Leveling kitAbout 1 to 2 inches, front only Raises the nose to match the rear; room for a slightly larger tire Least change to handling; little effect on towing
TRD 3-inch Lift Kit (Toyota)3 inchesFull suspension lift matched to the truck Offered on the 2026 TRD Rally Package; dealer-installed accessory warranty
Aftermarket suspension lift2 to 6 inchesLonger springs or struts, new control arms on taller kits Alignment, driveline angles and the tow rating change; warranty claims on related parts can be refused
Body lift1 to 3 inches Spacers between body and frame; bigger tires without suspension changes No extra suspension travel; bumpers and gaps need attention

What changes when you lift

  • Tires: a lift is usually the first step to a larger tire. Larger tires change the speedometer and odometer reading and the gearing feel; the TPMS and calibration need to follow.
  • Alignment: every suspension lift needs a full alignment, and some need new control arms to get camber back in range.
  • Towing: ride height changes the hitch height and the truck's behavior under load. Toyota rates the 2026 Tundra at up to 12,000 pounds properly equipped; a lifted truck may need a drop hitch and a trailer brake controller check.
  • Driver assistance: cameras and radar for Toyota Safety Sense are aimed for the stock ride height. A dealer-installed TRD lift accounts for that; aftermarket lifts may need recalibration.
  • Warranty: Toyota's new vehicle warranty does not cover damage caused by non-Toyota parts. Genuine accessories installed at delivery carry Toyota's accessory warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Does Toyota make a lift kit for the Tundra?

Yes. For 2026 Toyota offers a TRD 3-inch Lift Kit with the Tow Tech Package on the Tundra TRD Rally Package.

Will a lift kit void my Tundra warranty?

A genuine TRD lift installed by a Toyota dealer is covered by Toyota's accessory warranty. An aftermarket lift does not void the whole warranty, but damage it causes to related parts is not covered.

How much can a 2026 Tundra tow?

Up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped. A lift changes hitch height and handling under load, so set the trailer up for the new ride height.

What is the biggest tire I can fit on a lifted Tundra?

It depends on the lift, the wheel offset and the grade. Our parts team can check fitment for your truck.
