What is the RAV4 fuel tank size?
Toyota.com lists a 14.5-gallon fuel tank for every 2026 Toyota RAV4 and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid grade. At toyota.com's estimated combined mpg, that works out to roughly 520 to 625 miles per tank, depending on version.

How the range per tank is worked out
The estimate is the tank size times the combined mpg. For a front-wheel-drive RAV4 LE, SE or XLE Premium, 14.5 gallons times 43 mpg is about 624 miles. For the RAV4 Woodland, 14.5 times 38 is about 551 miles.
Treat these as rough figures. Fuel economy changes with speed, cargo, tire pressure, temperature and how much of your driving is city or highway, and few drivers run a tank completely empty.

How big is the Toyota RAV4 gas tank?
Toyota.com lists a 14.5-gallon fuel tank for every 2026 RAV4 grade (LE, SE, XLE Premium, XSE, Limited and Woodland) and for every 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid grade (SE, XSE, Woodland and GR SPORT).
Does the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid have a smaller tank?
No. Toyota.com lists the same 14.5 gallons for the 2026 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid as for the 2026 RAV4. The plug-in also lists an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 49 to 54 miles, depending on grade.
How far can a RAV4 go on a full tank?
Multiplying the 14.5-gallon tank by toyota.com's estimated combined mpg gives about 551 to 624 miles for the 2026 RAV4, depending on grade and drive, and about 522 to 580 miles for the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid grades, not counting electric driving. Real-world range depends on how, where and in what weather you drive.
Does all-wheel drive change the tank size?
No. Front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive RAV4 grades list the same 14.5-gallon tank. All-wheel drive lowers the estimated mpg slightly, which shortens the range estimate.
Is the 2026 RAV4 gas only?
No. Every 2026 RAV4 grade on toyota.com uses a hybrid powertrain built around a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid adds a charging port and an all-electric range.
