Toyota, though technically a Japanese automaker builds / assembles many of its new models right here in the U.S.
This means, that many of the quality cars, SUVS etc., available here at our Toyota dealership are more available and thus, more affordable, for drivers in Elgin, IL and Arlington Heights, Westmont, St. Charles, Northbrook, Schaumburg.
One such example of a U.S.-built new Toyota model is the ever popular Toyota Corolla which Toyota just recently announced would soon begin shipping and selling to more areas including 18 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, for 2014.
With this new expansion into other markets, Toyota is hoping it will be able to surpass its all-time export record for its new Toyota vehicles that were built in the U.S. The record set in 2012 was for more than 124,000 of the automaker's U.S.-built vehicles being exported to 21 different markets across the globe. That record was in fact 45% higher than the year that preceded it.
Production is expected to ramp up for the exported Toyota Corolla models in April of 2014. Toyota's mail goal for setting up the mass export is to provide more than 7,500 examples of its flagship sedan produced from its Mississippi plan and have them delivered to the aforementioned Latin American / Caribbean nations during its first year.
